Steven has spent 25 years architecting investment solutions across the financial services spectrum—from registered representative and hedge fund analyst to institutional consultant and technology entrepreneur. Working alongside leading quantitative researchers and behavioral finance pioneers, he has developed risk assessment and portfolio optimization systems used across tens of billions in assets. His expertise spans investment strategy design, platform development, and strategic positioning for firms seeking growth or navigating mergers and acquisitions. 

In 2010, Steven joined FolioMetrix as an analyst, ultimately advancing to Chief Investment Officer and Head of Research. In this role, he played a key role in the transformation of the firm into RiskX Investments—one of the industry's first mutual fund platforms dedicated entirely to tactical asset management. He developed the research infrastructure, launched the fund family, and positioned the firm as a thought leader in active risk management. His work drew coverage from InvestmentNews, US News, Bloomberg, and ThinkAdvisor as the platform scaled to hundreds of millions in assets. 

In 2015, Steven co-founded InvestBetter Consulting, delivering outsourced investment solutions to broker-dealers, RIAs, and product sponsors. Concurrently, he co-founded and helped build a proprietary SaaS e-commerce platform for financial services, gaining operational technology experience that would prove instrumental in later ventures. In 2022, he joined Amplify Platform, a unified wealth management system providing portfolio management, trading, and reporting infrastructure to independent RIAs. 

In late 2025, Steven co-founded Altium Investment Strategies, a Florida-based SEC-registered investment advisor specializing in fixed income, defined outcome strategies, and quantitative ETF model portfolios. Through partnerships with RIAs, broker-dealers, and family offices, Altium delivers institutional-grade portfolio management with a focus on implementation efficiency and sophisticated options-based strategies. 

Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Security Analysis and Portfolio Management from Creighton University. He earned his CFA® charter in 2012 and maintains active membership in the CFA Society of Nebraska. 

Steven resides in Omaha with his wife and dog, where he is an active member of his golf club community. He is an avid fisherman and diver with a particular affinity for the Florida Keys and its local history, where he spends part of his time.
